Jah'inaya (Jah) Parker

Jah’inaya Parker is a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working jointly with Dr. John Lee and Dr. McDonald. Her research focuses on understanding interactions between humans and automated vehicles. Specifically the relationship between situational demand of the roadway and the human driver’s readiness for taking over control. Her current projects aim to develop methodology for the analysis of user interface design to help drivers better understand and use automation.
Her research experience spans across four labs in psychology, human factors, and machine learning. She was honored with the prestigious Rising Researcher award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research. She received a Masters of Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2024 and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022.
